Support Groups

A support group can be of great benefit both during and after treatment for cancer. Ask your hospital health-care team, clergy or friends about local support groups. Another source that sounds very helpful is an organization called Cancer Care.

American Cancer Society *

Your local office of the American Cancer Society can supply practical help as well as cancer self-help information. They will be your ally. Check your local phone book and give them a call. For in-depth information, call their national office where a kind person answers your questions. On request, he will send you free printed materials including a listing of the comprehensive cancer treatment centers near your locale.
